Monday Landscape: Lake Toba

Lake Toba, located in the middle of North Sumatera Province, Indonesia, is a lake and volcano which was erupted around 69000 – 77000 years ago. For more information about it, you can check it here.

Nowadays, Lake Toba becomes a main tourist attraction in Indonesia. Its cold climate and unique culture surrounding make it ideal as holiday destination for both local and international traveler. From Jakarta, traveler can take two hours flight to Medan and continued by three hours bus. You can cross the lake to reach Samosir Island which is located in the middle of the lake. Ferries is operated every hour to Tomok and Tuktuk Harbour.

For this Monday Landscape, I would like to share some photos to show you the beauty of Lake Toba. Unfortunately, it was cloudy and I couldn’t get the blue sky as its background. However, I hope you enjoy it.
