To contribute in WCP by the theme of Relic, I will post photo of Batak traditional house or more well known as Rumah Bolon, located in Lake Toba. This house was built hundred years ago, but it’s still exist in some places. It’s constructed by wood and has three distinct area. The lowest one, usually is used as working area. Sometimes, it’s also purposed for animals. The next level, is used as place where family lived in. And the last one, located on the top is the most important part. On this place, where ancestral shrines are placed. One house, it could be occupied by three to five families. But nowadays, sometimes one family only live at one place.
